Blastocystis hominis -amoeboid form Af (these forms inhabit the colon along with small avacuolar forms but may be overlooked because of their small size, 5 microns or because they degenerate after passage) and vacuolar forms Vf - these forms are not the form found in the body and seem to develop in faeces after excretion from the body and in culture..
